Dublin Teen Idol is run by the Browne family and Friends. While Gerry Browne is a veteran of the Irish Entertainment scene, over the years he has been involed in singing, song writing, playing several tnstruments not to mention acting, stage plays, TV and radio shows. Dublin teen idol is very much a labour of love for all the family.

Dublin Teen Idol is a singing competition for 13-18 year olds and is open to both male and female competitors. The competition has been running for the last 3 years. For Auditions Contestants are asked to sing Acapella in front of 3 judges, part or all of one song. the judges will treat each act fairly and will decide on the day if they are are going through to the heats stage. If you do get through The Heats stage you will then enter the 1/4 stages and In late October we are into the Semi finlas and the Grand final is in Mid November, date to be confirmed. Erik Browne the Shows Presenter says, Our aim is to showcase the hugely talented Irish teenagers and give them the opportunity to preform on stage. Yes Its competitive but great fun and a brilliant way for teenage singers to take their first steps into the world of entertainment and its a great way to make friends. We treat the contestants with Respect and above all fairness. Singers and performers have different Styles and you'll hear many different singing styles throughout the competition... and remember, Dublin Teenidol is a stepping stone and a start to your singing career.

Jason "Rocky" Mc Eneaney is the Shows Producer, Jason's advice to all contestants is, for Auditions, make sure you have your song well rehearsed and if you do get through to the heats stage, Sing a song that suits your voice, too often good singers take on a song thats too high and cant make the notes and really all they have to do is take the songs down a semi tone or full tone and belt it out. It makes sense.
