Dublin Teen Idol is part of an All-Ireland singing competition for 13-18 year olds. Its open to both male and female competitors. The competition has been running for the last 8 years and 2008 was the 1st All-Ireland competition run nationwide. We are very proud to say Dublin won the All-Ireland two years running.
Our aim is to showcase the hugely talented Irish teenagers and give them the opportunity to represent their county " Dublin " in the very competitve all Ireland Final. Its competitive but great fun and a brilliant way for teenage singers to take their first steps into the world of entertainment.
Dublin Teen Idol 2009
Kelly O Neill is a small framed package with a huge Voice. And was a worthy winner on the night. She performed with gusto and belted out brilliantly and her voice control was truly amazing. The RED COW INN Audience loved her voice & was a very popular winner on the night. The Current Dublin Champion is Gemma Murphy and she put in a powerful performance to win the Dublin Showcase. Again a huge vocal range in a small petite frame. She was unlucky in the All Ireland Final but truly is a rare talent.. Despite some very strong opposition from performers from around the country. The Dublin Finalists all fared very well.
In 2009 over 2000 competitors took part in Dublin and we had over 4000 contestants nationwide.
Dublin Teen Idol 2008
Michael Costello was a worthy winner on the night. He performed brilliantly to the Pavarotti's Operatic classis "Nessun Dorma" to a sold out RED COW INN Audience & was a very popular winner on the night. Despite some very strong opposition from performers from around the country. In 2008 over 1100 competitors took part in Dublin and we had over 3000 contestants nationwide. The Winner received the perpetual Teen Idol trophy and recording time in The Scripts' personal studio K&G Studio, Stillorgan.
